It was lovely to meet you and your family in August and I really enjoyed coming to Taiwan. It was a special experience to meet your family, to see the umbrella making and eat with your family. Lukang was great and it was wonderful to meet the lantern maker and the family that made the amazing statues … I have many fond memories of my time with your family in Taiwan. It is also nice to work with you and your family, because I know you have good ethics and you are good people. Also Yan, Happy New Year too…though I know you have your new year coming up too, so I wish you a good new year for the Chinese Calendar too. This year will be the year of the horse I think…so I hope it will be very good for you and your business and also for my business too. Speaking of business I need to order some more of the umbrellas. I need the 15 cm radius umbrellas. Yan, I am wondering if it is possible to have the ladies who make the umbrellas, put a label on the umbrella handles? I will attach a photo of a sample of the labels on this email. The labels will need to be very sticky so we can be sure the labels do not come off easily. The label can be made from plastic label tape or paper labels which ever you think will stick well to the umbrella handle or shaft and which will be the cheapest option. The labels could also be much smaller than the labels in the photos… These current labels I have here are 2 cm by 5 cm but we could use labels that are as small as 1 cm x 4 cm with smaller writing…as long as I have a label that is the main thing… Anyway let me know if you will please Yan, the most cost effective, size. The market is getting tight here and people are not spending like they were 3 years ago, so I need to be mindful of this. Yan I would like to order 1000 of the one size (15 cm radius) but it may be better to order slightly less so the total cost is not more than $1000 as if it’s over $1000 I have to pay the Government duty and Goods and Services Tax. So let me know the maximum number of umbrellas I can get for say $900? This needs to include the postage. I really am wanting to be ordering this size umbrella from you every month ….but I will have to see how my marketing goes!!
